  • Season 6 is bringing significant changes to the Barbarian class, particularly impacting its strongest builds.

  • One major adjustment involves the Whirlwind ability, which will no longer generate a high volume of Dust Devils.

  • This change is due to the fixing of the animation cancelling interaction, reducing the effectiveness of this skill.

  • Additionally, the Starlight aspect and the Invigorating Fury passive skill combination, which supported overpower-focused builds such as Death Blow, Hammer of the Ancients, and Upheaval, is being reworked, severely limiting these playstyles.

  • Flay and Rend are currently in a precarious position, and prospects for their improvement seem bleak, though there’s always hope for future changes. There’s a silver lining despite some challenges.

  • The newly added skill, Mighty Throw, is emerging as a strong contender, and it demonstrates impressive performance, even clearing the highest-level pit with less-than-ideal setups.

  • Bash remains a reliable choice, maintaining its status as a top-tier skill across various game modes.

  • With the introduction of the Force of Nature paragon node, we can expect a surge in popularity for Earthquake and Dust Devil builds. Buffs to the Rumble and Twister glyphs, along with other related aspects and paragon nodes, will further enhance these setups.

  • Thorns also receives a boost with the new Barbed Carapace key passive, showing significant strength in its current iteration. However, there's speculation that this newfound power might not stay as potent for long, reminiscent of the Needleflare aspect's adjustments.

  • The Shout Druid is set to dominate in Season 6, thanks to substantial enhancements to Fleshrender, a rework of Innate Debilitating Roar, and the introduction of the Rabid Bear aspect. Keep an eye out for the upcoming endgame guide as the expansion launch approaches!

  • Hurricane benefits from wider access to duration tempers in the utility slot, alongside Boulder and various Landslide variants, all proving to be formidable options.

  • While Stone Burst has struggled to make a significant impact—aside from functioning as a support skill when combined with Shattered Defenses—there are some peculiar damage bugs noted in the PTR.

  • Shred gains a useful feature with the Agile Wolf utility aspect, which is currently delivering unexpected damage; however, it still falls short of becoming a strong contender without its bug.

  • Companions have seen improvements with the addition of the One with Nature key passive and Untamed paragon board, yet they still lag behind the top builds available to Druids.- The Pulverize skill has been enhanced through improvements to the Raging upgrade, making it one of the prime beneficiaries of the revamped Ursine Strength key passive and Hunter's Zenith.

  • Despite these enhancements, it still falls into the upper tier of the "serviceable" category, similar to Wind Shear and Lightning Storm.

  • Among all druid builds, Tornado stands out but may not be the best choice for the upcoming season.

  • It's advisable to explore other options for a more competitive edge next season.

  • The recent changes in the PTR have had minimal impact on sorcerer builds.

  • A slight nerf was introduced to Lightning Spear through the cap on Conjuration Mastery.

  • However, this cap is set so high that it rarely affects gameplay in real scenarios.

  • The only situation where players might exceed 30 conjurations is during high-tier pit pushing.

  • Even in those instances, a less cooldown reduction-centric approach utilizing Heir of Perdition can bypass the nerf.

  • Aside from this minor adjustment, Firewall and Blizzard received beneficial weapon tempers.

  • Yet, these enhancements are not substantial enough to change the overall ranking of the builds significantly.

  • Additionally, other adjustments such as paragon reworks, new passives, uniques, and runewords tend to provide similar buffs across all builds. - The new passive skill, Enlightenment , has proven to be exceptionally beneficial and can be integrated into almost every build.
It activates effortlessly, potentially due to its compatibility with all spells cast, which might not have been intended.

  • Familiar serves as a useful utility option for builds with available slots, but it falls short as a main damage dealer.
A notable exception is the Fire Enhanced Familiar's burning aura, which is very powerful during the early stages of the game.
When you summon Familiar, it can eliminate all enemies encountered for the next 8 seconds.
However, this ability is a damage-over-time effect that tends to diminish in effectiveness as you progress, and it does not scale with Familiar ranks, making it less viable later on.
Overall, the new aspects for Sorcerers are not particularly noteworthy, and the Sidhe Bindings are seen as ineffective.

  • Season 6 has introduced a wealth of possibilities for Necromancer enthusiasts.
Ultimate skills are now available, providing strong options for late-game content, with many core skills seeing significant damage boosts and new functionality.
The emerging builds include Blood Wave, Soulrift, Bone Spirit, Blight, Sever, and Blood Lance .
While minion builds will still excel during the early game, they unfortunately taper off in endgame scenarios—it's a tough loss for minion-focused Necromancers.
Similarly, Bone Spear seems to have diminished in effectiveness, but there are rumors of a powerful late-game build centered around Deathless Visage .

  • In the early stages, every build will likely incorporate the new ultimate skill, Soulrift .
This skill provides unmatched damage, survivability, utility, and essence management.
Additionally, the new key passive, Affliction , enhances your Iron Maiden casts, turning them into free damage and offering a valuable multiplier for any build.
If you manage to find Cursed Aura , be sure to integrate it into your setup for free essence generation and automatic application of both Decrepify and Iron Maiden —you'll appreciate this choice later!

Victimize and Dance of Knives

  • Victimize makes a comeback, with Dance of Knives emerging as the primary skill for players who appreciated the dynamic playstyle from Season 4.

  • The separation of damage from the triggering skill allows for a broader selection of abilities to utilize.

  • Dance of Knives stands out as the premier option, thanks to its impressive rate of throwing knives each second.

  • Additionally, the Umbracrux returns, providing an extra target to activate Victimize more effectively.

  • The new helmet, Heir of Perdition, perfectly complements the Dance of Knives Rogue build, offering desirable stats and a powerful aspect.

  • Embracing the full poison synergy setup with Poison Imbuement, along with the enhancements from Alchemical Advantage, Eldritch Bounty, and Poison Trap, enables Victimize to inherit the elemental attributes of the skill that triggers it.

  • This synergy allows players to enjoy significant poison buffs.

  • Dance of Knives also proves to be an exceptional skill for leveling, especially when combined with Momentum and Shadow Imbuement during the early stages of gameplay.

  • It facilitates rapid movement and clears entire screens without depleting energy.A significant new addition to the rogue class is the key passive known as Alchemical Admixture, which provides a substantial boost to imbuement potency.
This enhancement is particularly beneficial for poison imbuement, especially when paired with the revamped Twisting Blades, which now has a chance to hit twice.
The resurgence of the Twisting Blades poison build is exciting!

While Andariel's Visage was once a favorite, it now faces stiff competition from the latest gear.
Nonetheless, its high attack speed and life per hit attributes may allow it to regain a place in certain builds that can afford to utilize the helmet slot.

Ranged builds are experiencing a similar challenge; although they remain effective, they are overshadowed by the newly introduced melee options in terms of efficiency.
Notable performing builds now include a Death Trap-focused setup and the consistent Rapid Fire combined with Scoundrel's Kiss.

The introduction of a five-board limit creates challenges for Ultimate abilities and No Witnesses.
However, achieving significant ultimate damage is easier than before due to the scaling potential of certain glyphs through amplifying magic nodes.
To utilize ultimates effectively, a considerable cooldown reduction or energy expenditure is necessary for Preparation.
Fortunately, the Petrify rune, Yom, can trigger No Witnesses, offering a workaround.

Danse Macabre, an intriguing new board, possesses several appealing features and a strong node, but it does not synergize with Victimize.
As new builds emerge that emphasize different key passives, Danse Macabre may find its niche among them.

Lastly, an exciting and powerful build that has gained traction is Shadow Step in combination with either Victimize or Momentum.
With the newly introduced Shadow Step cleave temper and sufficient cooldown reduction, it is already demonstrating promising potential as one of the fastest options for speed farming!
